Officials say both single-vehicle wrecks remain under investigation.

Overview

  • District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III on Monday identified the victims as Savannah Salemme, 18, of Dighton; Brielle Raposo, 16; and Cameren Gutter, 15, both of Fall River.
  • In Dartmouth around 1 a.m. Saturday, a Kia reported stolen from Fall River crashed on I-195 West near the Reed Road exit after 911 reports of an erratic, high-speed driver.
  • Raposo and Gutter were ejected from the Kia during the Dartmouth crash and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Massachusetts State Police.
  • In Taunton at 10:13 p.m. Friday, Salemme’s Toyota Tacoma left Tremont Street, struck a home’s front porch, rolled into parked cars, and became engulfed in flames; she died at the scene.
  • Fall River Public Schools said the Dartmouth victims were enrolled in the district and provided grief counseling, and a GoFundMe for Salemme’s family had raised nearly $30,000 by Monday morning.
