D4vd Leaves Rented L.A. Home as Police Probe Teen’s Death and Reports Cite Fake IDs

Investigators are analyzing electronics seized from a Hollywood Hills rental linked to the singer.

Overview

  • Friends told TMZ they believed Celeste Rivas Hernandez was the singer’s 19-year-old girlfriend, with law-enforcement sources saying the teen carried multiple fake IDs that let her enter age-restricted venues.
  • Newly surfaced tow and impound records indicate the Tesla was cited on Aug. 27, cited again on Sept. 3, towed on Sept. 5, and flagged for a foul odor on Sept. 8 when workers discovered remains at the impound lot.
  • LAPD Robbery-Homicide detectives executed a Sept. 17 search at a Hollywood Hills rental associated with the artist and recovered electronics; the landlord and photos show the singer and his manager moved out days later.
  • The Los Angeles County medical examiner identified the remains as Rivas Hernandez; cause and manner of death remain under investigation, and her family has received her remains with a funeral set for Oct. 5.
  • Police say the singer is cooperating and has not been named a suspect or charged, while family accounts and other reports about earlier online contact are being reported but have not been independently verified.
