Cynthia Erivo to Receive Stephen F. Kolzak Award at 2025 GLAAD Media Awards

The celebrated actor and singer is being honored for her contributions to LGBTQ+ visibility and advocacy in entertainment.

Cynthia Erivo will be honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 36th GLAAD Media Awards on March 27 in Los Angeles.
The award recognizes LGBTQ+ media professionals who have significantly advanced visibility and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people and issues.
Erivo, who publicly came out as queer in 2022, has been praised for her advocacy and representation of Black and queer communities.
She is currently nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role as Elphaba in the film adaptation of 'Wicked.'
Erivo's career includes a Tony, Grammy, and Daytime Emmy for 'The Color Purple' and Oscar nominations for her work in 'Harriet.'
