Cynthia Erivo, Teyana Taylor, Marla Gibbs, and Raamla Mohamed Honored at 2025 ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards

The 18th annual event celebrates trailblazing Black women in film and TV while supporting wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

The ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards will take place on February 27, 2025, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, hosted by actor Aldis Hodge.
This year’s honorees include Cynthia Erivo, Teyana Taylor, Marla Gibbs, and Raamla Mohamed, recognized for their impactful contributions to the entertainment industry.
The event’s theme, 'Scene and Unseen,' highlights the often-overlooked stories and contributions that shape the entertainment world.
In response to recent Los Angeles wildfires, the awards will support relief efforts in Altadena, Pasadena, and surrounding areas, with additional community-focused programming on February 28.
A pre-show featuring red carpet highlights and the announcement of the fan-voted ESSIES’ Choice Award will premiere on ESSENCE’s YouTube channel on March 3.
