Cynthia Erivo and James Mangold to Receive Top Honors at 2025 Sundance Gala

The Visionary and Trailblazer Awards will celebrate their contributions to film and storytelling during the festival's fundraising event in Utah.

Cynthia Erivo will be honored with the Visionary Award for her impactful performances and commitment to championing diverse stories in the entertainment industry.
James Mangold will receive the Trailblazer Award, recognizing his dedication to authentic storytelling and his long-standing connection to the Sundance Institute.
The gala will also honor Michelle Satter, Founding Senior Director of Artist Programs at Sundance Institute, for her work supporting independent filmmakers.
The event is scheduled for January 24, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Utah and serves as a fundraiser for Sundance programs supporting artists year-round.
The 2025 Sundance Film Festival will run from January 23 to February 2, 2025, with in-person events in Park City and Salt Lake City, as well as online screenings.
