- Cyclone Ditwah advanced to roughly 80–90 km off the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts on Sunday, with IMD placing the center south-southeast of Chennai and near Cuddalore and Karaikal.
- IMD warnings call for heavy to very heavy rainfall, squally to gale-force gusts and hazardous seas for northern coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh under red and orange alerts.
- Local administrations cleared beaches and reported transport disruptions, including about 50 flight cancellations, as rain and strong winds affected coastal districts.
- IMD also cautioned of a short-term deterioration in weather over parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand and West Bengal within the next 24–48 hours.
- A separate system, Cyclone Senyar, strengthened over the Malacca Strait with 70–80 km/h winds prompting marine and Andaman–Nicobar rainfall advisories, while India began relief for Sri Lanka under Operation Sagar Bandhu.
