Cyclist Killed on NE Glisan as 3 Deadly Crashes Hit Northeast Portland Within Two Hours

Investigators are seeking public leads after a two-hour cluster on designated high-crash corridors.

Overview

  • A bicyclist died after a collision with a car around 6:20–6:21 p.m. in the 11200 block of Northeast Glisan Street, where AMR and Portland Fire and Rescue pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
  • Two additional fatalities followed nearby: a man in a wheelchair struck around 7:40 p.m. on Northeast 122nd Avenue near Glisan who later died at a hospital, and a woman hit around 8 p.m. on Northeast 102nd Avenue between Pacific and Halsey.
  • The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is investigating all three incidents, and Northeast Glisan was closed in both directions between Northeast 110th and Northeast 113th during the on-scene work.
  • Police say the drivers involved in each crash remained at the scenes and are cooperating with investigators, and no arrests or identities have been released.
