• On August 10, Cycling Mikey pushed his electric bike into a Fiat 500 that repeatedly ignored a no-entry sign on Paddenswick Road in Hammersmith.
• The driver accelerated through the roadworks zone, smashing the 28kg e-bike and scattering the cyclist’s belongings before fleeing the scene.
• Van Erp shared the helmet-cam video on his YouTube channel and told followers he “couldn’t… brake a 28kg e-bike once I realised the driver wasn’t stopping.”
• A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers have reviewed the footage but have made no arrests or charges to date.
• In the days since, van Erp has returned to the same junction to block motorists again as part of his citizen reporting campaign.
