Cyberabad Weekend Drunk-Driving Crackdown Nets 480

  • Cyberabad Traffic Police apprehended 480 motorists in a special weekend enforcement drive.
  • Those held included 371 two-wheeler riders, 19 three-wheeler drivers, 85 car drivers, and 5 heavy-vehicle operators.
  • BAC readings showed 423 cases between 35–200 mg/100 ml, 38 between 201–300 mg/100 ml, and 19 between 301–550 mg/100 ml.
  • All violators from the operation will be produced before the court, according to officials.
  • Courts disposed 372 drunk-driving cases during Oct. 13–18, issuing 357 fines, 15 short jail terms of one to three days, and 20 social service orders.
