Overview

  • Early in-person voting began Aug. 12 at the new 1803 Superior Ave. headquarters, marking the first election at the former Plain Dealer building.
  • The 11,000-square-foot facility offers expanded voting halls, over 70 free parking spaces and a dedicated ADA-accessible parking lot.
  • Early voting runs weekdays Aug. 12–29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., extends late hours from Sept. 2–5 and includes weekend sessions on Sept. 6–7.
  • One acceptable form of physical photo ID is required to vote, and digital IDs such as mobile driver’s licenses are not permitted.
  • With only about 1,700 vote-by-mail applications processed compared to 18,000 in the last comparable primary, officials are monitoring mail-in demand as a turnout gauge.
