Cutzamala Storage Dips to 96.3% as Rainy Season Closes

Officials call for conservation as operations shift to planned dry-season drawdown.

Overview

  • The latest technical cut shows 753.88 million cubic meters in storage, equal to 96.3% capacity and down from a recent 97.4% peak.
  • Reservoir levels stand at Valle de Bravo 98.2%, El Bosque 96.6%, and Villa Victoria 92%, according to OCAVM.
  • No rainfall was recorded this month at El Bosque or Valle de Bravo, with only 2 millimeters at Villa Victoria.
  • From November 10–16 the system delivered 15.640 m³/s to the Valley of Mexico: 9.380 m³/s to SEGIA and 6.260 m³/s to CAEM.
  • Pumping over the past 15 days drew down storage by 8.2 million m³, and specialists say volumes could cover supply into 2026–2027 if water use remains responsible.
