Cutzamala Hits Decade High of 97.4% Capacity as Seasonal Decline Begins

  • Total storage stands at 762.08 million cubic meters at the close of the rainy season, the highest level in about 10 years.
  • Between October 27 and November 2, operators delivered 15.67 m3/s, sending 9.237 m3/s to Mexico City via SEGIA and 6.441 m3/s to the State of Mexico via CAEM.
  • Individual reservoirs are at Valle de Bravo 98.7% (389.09 million m3), El Bosque 98.5% (199.41 million m3), and Villa Victoria 93.5% (173.59 million m3), with slight recent declines at Valle de Bravo and Villa Victoria.
  • Since May 25, the system recovered 385.22 million cubic meters over 20 consecutive weeks of gains.
  • Current storage is roughly 30.5% higher than a year ago, supporting service for more than 5.5 million residents across 13 boroughs and 15 municipalities.
