Cutzamala Climbs to 93% Capacity With Near‑Full Levels Forecast by November

Officials have opened a technical review to potentially increase deliveries to the Valley of Mexico.

  • Season-end projections call for 96–98% by November 30, and local authorities say reaching 100% remains possible.
  • Current transfers to Mexico City and the State of Mexico hold near 10.9 m3/s while committees assess a possible increase.
  • Since May 25 the system has recovered about 347 Mm3, and city actions plus added Cutzamala supply have extended daily service in Iztapalapa from roughly 5 to 13 hours.
