Customs in Quetta Seize 300kg of Crystal Meth Hidden in Truck's Modified Fuel Tank

  • The Field Enforcement Unit in Noshki intercepted a Hino truck traveling from Taftan to Quetta after intelligence from the Collector Customs (Enforcement), Quetta.
  • A detailed search found boxes concealed inside a specially modified fuel tank under the truck’s rear body, which yielded 300 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
  • Two occupants identified as Babul s/o Dil Murad and Amin Baloch s/o Hussain were arrested on the spot, and an FIR was lodged.
  • Customs valued the narcotics at about Rs18.65 billion and the truck at roughly Rs8 million, bringing the total seized assets to around Rs18.67 billion.
  • The Federal Board of Revenue said investigations are underway to identify financiers and collaborators, with anti-smuggling efforts expanding to include AI-driven surveillance.
