Cupra Reveals Raval, a €26,000 Spain-Built Compact EV

Local production could qualify the car for Spain's coming Auto+ purchase subsidy.

Overview

  • Cupra introduced the Raval on VW Group’s MEB+ platform, built entirely at Martorell in Spain.
  • The company set a starting price of €26,000, with sales and any Auto+ subsidy to follow once the program begins.
  • Entry models carry a 37 kWh LFP battery rated for roughly 300 km of range.
  • Upper trims use a 52 kWh NMC pack that reaches about 450 km in Endurance or around 400 km in the VZ, which also sprints to 100 km/h in under seven seconds.
  • The EV adds cell-to-pack batteries, 10–80% fast charging in just over 20 minutes on larger packs, Plug & Charge, Vehicle-to-Load, an Android-based OS, and a full driver-assist suite.
