Cupra Reveals Leon VZ and Track-Bred VZ TCR With 321 HP

The limited-run TCR model brings race-honed hardware to the road to reinforce Cupra’s performance identity.

Overview

  • Both variants use a 2.0-liter turbo four and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, with a claimed 0–62 mph time of 5.6 seconds and an undisclosed derestricted top speed.
  • The VZ TCR adds adaptive chassis control, an electronically controlled front differential lock, a front strut bar, and six-piston Akebono front brakes.
  • Track-focused cabin changes include CUPBucket front seats with four-point harnesses and removable rear seats aided by an integrated rear strut and net.
  • Exterior cues span a new aerokit with splitters, skirts and rear wing, lightweight wheels on performance tires, dark chrome badging, and a copper-colored quad-exit exhaust.
  • Production is capped at 499 units for the VZ TCR and 1,500 for the Leon VZ, with the VZ due in Q1 2026 and the TCR scheduled for later in 2026; market availability in specific countries remains unconfirmed.
