Overview
- On December 28, interagency teams led by Sinaloa’s GOES with Army and National Guard support executed linked operations in the Monte Real and Los Ángeles subdivisions of Culiacán.
- In Monte Real, three civilians were detained and placed at the disposal of the FGR, and authorities seized a Ram pickup with artisanal armor along with other vehicles.
- Recovered armament included a Browning .50 machine gun, three AK-47s, an M4 rifle, 32 magazines, a linked belt with 77 .50-caliber rounds, and tactical vests and helmets.
- In Los Ángeles, forces observed 34 improvised explosive devices reportedly adapted for drones inside a residence and secured the property’s perimeter with no arrests reported.
- The site remains under guard as the FGR seeks an Orden Técnica de Investigación to enter and document the interior, while the SSPC reported related seizures in Badiraguato and the disabling of a clandestine laboratory.
