- The center is already active, with six kidney transplants completed since December.
- It is staffed by 18 transplant surgeons and includes two dedicated operating rooms.
- Four isolation recovery areas and a histocompatibility lab support safe surgery and precise donor–recipient matching.
- Officials say the site will extend free high-specialty care and expand capacity for kidney, liver, lung and cornea transplants, building on about 162 kidney transplants statewide under the current administration.
