• Tucker was reinstated from the 10-day IL on Sept. 26 and slotted in as the designated hitter, batting fourth against the Cardinals.
• He had been out since Sept. 2 with a left calf issue and was placed on the injured list in early September after symptoms lingered.
• Manager Craig Counsell said Tucker will run at roughly 80–90% effort as the team monitors him day to day, with the possibility of playing the outfield later this weekend.
• To clear the roster spot, veteran Carlos Santana accepted an option to the Cubs’ Arizona complex and will travel as part of the taxi squad for the postseason.
