Cuba Gooding Jr. Settles Civil Sexual Assault Case on Eve of Trial

Gooding reached a settlement with a woman who accused him of raping her in 2013, just before jury selection was set to begin.
Gooding has faced accusations of sexual misconduct from over 30 women and previously pleaded guilty to forcibly kissing a woman in 2018.
Gooding's accuser filed a $6 million civil lawsuit alleging he invited her to his hotel room, blocked her from leaving, and raped her twice.
Three other women alleging abuse at Gooding's hands were slated to testify at the trial.
The settlement's terms were not disclosed, but allow Gooding to avoid facing a jury trial over the allegations.
