CTD Hyderabad Arrests Two Suspected Fitna al-Hindustan Operatives, Seizes Arms and Explosives

Officials call the raid a breakthrough in efforts to disrupt the network across Sindh, Balochistan.

Overview

  • CTD Hyderabad detained Abdul Rahim (Raheem) Khoso and Ghulam Shabbir in an intelligence-led raid in the Qasimabad/Gulistan-e-Sarmast area.
  • Police say they recovered hand grenades, explosive materials, arms and ammunition, cash alleged to fund attacks, and documents indicating affiliation with the network.
  • According to CTD sources, the seized weapons are believed to match those used in an April attack on a CTD mobile van in Loni Kot, Jamshoro.
  • Interrogation of the suspects led to the recovery of three additional hand grenades and more explosive material, and investigators are working to identify facilitators and other members.
  • Security sources separately reported that FAH commander Jameel, known as Tetak, was killed the same day, with officials also pointing to a foiled Quetta suicide plot last month linked to the group.
