César Duarte Transferred to Mexico City Under Custody for FGR Appearance

  • Chihuahua’s judiciary said there would be no route changes or additional activities and confirmed he is scheduled to return today.
  • Duarte remains on supervised release in a case alleging embezzlement and criminal association after serving the maximum preventive detention time, with electronic monitoring since June 2024.
  • Separately, President Claudia Sheinbaum announced in June a complaint to the FGR over alleged illegal extraction of 700,000 cubic meters of water from a Duarte property, and his defense has offered to surrender his passport.
