Crystal Palace Secures Colombian Right-Back Daniel Munoz
Munoz, previously with Genk, signs a contract through to 2027 as Palace bolsters its defense.
- Crystal Palace has signed Colombian right-back Daniel Munoz from Genk for £6.9 million.
- Munoz, 27, has signed a contract with Palace through to 2027 with the option of a further year.
- Before moving to Genk, Munoz played for Colombian top-flight team Aguilas Doradas and Atletico Nacional, where he became captain.
- Munoz has established himself as a regular for the Colombian national team after a serious leg injury to first-choice right-back Santiago Arias.
- Palace needed a new right-back as current options Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Ward are both over 30 years old and out of contract this summer.
