Cruise Ship Worker Sentenced to 30 Years for Secretly Filming Children

Arvin Joseph Mirasol, a cabin attendant on Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas, hid cameras in guest rooms to produce child pornography.

Mirasol was detained after a guest discovered a hidden camera in a bathroom on February 25.
Authorities found numerous videos of children, aged 2 to 17, in various stages of undress on his electronic devices.
Mirasol admitted to placing cameras in passenger cabins since December 2023 and targeting teenage girls.
He was arrested in March when the ship docked at Port Everglades, Florida, and later pleaded guilty.
Royal Caribbean terminated Mirasol and cooperated fully with law enforcement.
