• On July 8, CRPF Director General G P Singh evaluated operational readiness at camps in Qazigund and Mirbazar.
• He reviewed surveillance setups and fortification measures at checkpoints along the Jammu–Srinagar highway.
• At Ramban and Kali Mata Mandir in Tekri, Singh met with Jammu and Kashmir Police, central armed police and intelligence officers to refine threat-response protocols.
• This exercise builds on a security blueprint finalized in late May that established SOPs, real-time monitoring and anti-sabotage deployments across the pilgrimage corridor.
• Officials say the joint deployment aims to preempt militant threats and manage logistics as tens of thousands of pilgrims undertake the annual trek until August 9.
