On July 8, CRPF Director General G P Singh evaluated operational readiness at camps in Qazigund and Mirbazar.
He reviewed surveillance setups and fortification measures at checkpoints along the Jammu–Srinagar highway.
At Ramban and Kali Mata Mandir in Tekri, Singh met with Jammu and Kashmir Police, central armed police and intelligence officers to refine threat-response protocols.
This exercise builds on a security blueprint finalized in late May that established SOPs, real-time monitoring and anti-sabotage deployments across the pilgrimage corridor.
Officials say the joint deployment aims to preempt militant threats and manage logistics as tens of thousands of pilgrims undertake the annual trek until August 9.
