Crowe, Malek, Shannon to Star in 'Nuremberg'
Historical drama explores sanity of Nazi prisoners and their fitness for war crimes trial
- Russell Crowe, Rami Malek and Michael Shannon are set to star in James Vanderbilt’s historical drama 'Nuremberg', set in post-war Germany.
- The film is based on the book 'The Nazi and the Psychiatrist' by Jack El-Hai and will explore the sanity of Nazi prisoners and their fitness to stand trial for war crimes.
- Malek will play American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, Crowe will portray Hermann Göring, Hitler’s right-hand man, and Shannon will play Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the chief prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials.
- Production is set to begin in February 2024 in Hungary.
- The film is being produced by Bluestone Entertainment, Walden Media and Széchenyi Fund, with Vanderbilt also co-producing.
