Crowe, Malek, Shannon to Star in 'Nuremberg'

Historical drama explores sanity of Nazi prisoners and their fitness for war crimes trial

Russell Crowe, Rami Malek and Michael Shannon are set to star in James Vanderbilt’s historical drama 'Nuremberg', set in post-war Germany.
The film is based on the book 'The Nazi and the Psychiatrist' by Jack El-Hai and will explore the sanity of Nazi prisoners and their fitness to stand trial for war crimes.
Malek will play American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, Crowe will portray Hermann Göring, Hitler’s right-hand man, and Shannon will play Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the chief prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials.
Production is set to begin in February 2024 in Hungary.
The film is being produced by Bluestone Entertainment, Walden Media and Széchenyi Fund, with Vanderbilt also co-producing.
