Overview
- CrowdStrike on Tuesday signed agreements to buy Fiddler AI and Dreadnode and announced an AI Kill Switch inside its Falcon Guardian product.
- Press reports cite a combined price of about $495 million for the two deals while CrowdStrike says the transactions will close in Q4 of its fiscal 2027 subject to customary conditions.
- The AI Kill Switch is available now through Falcon’s AI gateway and lets administrators block agents’ access to models, log the action for audits, and prevent relaunch on targeted hosts.
- Deeper containment is planned: CrowdStrike intends to add direct endpoint termination, coordinated cloud and identity enforcement, and cross-environment orchestration after integrations are completed.
- Fiddler’s observability tech will be sold as Falcon Observe and Dreadnode’s automated predeployment tests will feed Falcon Guardian, a set of moves that aim to give security teams visibility, explainability, and a human-controlled shutdown for enterprise AI agents.
