Overview
- RMT members including Train Managers and Senior Conductors will strike on Saturday 23 and Monday 25 August, leading CrossCountry to cancel all services on the first day.
- CrossCountry will operate a very limited timetable on Monday 25 August from 8 am to 6 pm, with passengers warned to expect busy trains.
- Planned engineering work in the West Midlands on Monday will add delays to the reduced service.
- Passengers are urged to avoid Saturday travel and to check schedules for disrupted routes such as Birmingham–Reading–South Coast and Leicester–Cambridge–Stansted Airport, with refunds available.
- CrossCountry’s managing director Shiona Rolfe said the operator is disappointed by the strikes and remains available for further talks with the RMT.
