Overview

  • Critical Role has partnered with Los Angeles-based AdHoc Studio, founded by veterans from Telltale Games, Ubisoft and Night School Studio, to create its inaugural game project
  • The working title Project Exandria will feature a brand-new storyline set within the established Exandria world rather than retelling past campaigns
  • Teams are defining key story beats, gameplay mechanics and potential cameo appearances from fan-favorite parties like Vox Machina, Mighty Nein and Bells Hells
  • Inspired by AdHoc’s upcoming Dispatch title, the game will follow a narrative-driven template in which player choices shape the unfolding story
  • Critical Role and AdHoc aim to complete the mid-tier production in roughly two years instead of pursuing a larger AAA development timeline
