Overview
- Pearl Abyss’ 1.00.1 patch introduced the White Bear, Silver Fang, and Snowwhite Deer as permanent mounts with superior stats, such as the deer's higher speed, jump, and large stamina pool.
- To unlock a mount, players must slay and skin the creature for a named part, take it to the witch Elowen in The Witchwood southwest of Hernand, craft a Sigil of Solidarity, then use it to add the mount to the summon wheel.
- Most guides say Elowen becomes available after Chapter 5 story quests, though at least one report suggests some players may reach her earlier in the campaign.
- White Bear roams just south of the White Wastes Sanctuary near Five Finger Mountain, appears with cubs, and hits hard with a grab, so luring it off cliffs or using high ground and arrows can make the fight safer.
- Snowwhite Deer grazes west of the Sanctum of Solace in the Silver Wolf Mountain area and will flee on sight, which makes staggering it with arrows the reliable way to close in and finish the hunt.
- Silver Fang requires progress through Hernand faction quests to open a Legendary Wolf quest, a fight with Black Fang, and then a trip to the Howling Hollow cave to claim the wolf and its crafting part.
