Crimson Desert DLC 'Charting the Unknown' Set to Launch Thursday

The expansion unlocks ocean exploration and dedicated epilogue storylines that change how players continue after the main campaign.

Overview

  • Pearl Abyss will release Charting the Unknown on Thursday, Oct. 29, with some regions getting access on Oct. 30 and exact local launch times published by the developer.
  • The DLC's new story missions act as an epilogue and require players to have completed the base game's main campaign to play them.
  • Players can access most of the DLC's open-world islands, ocean and underwater areas without finishing the main story but some zones require prior progress such as establishing the Greymane camp.
  • Charting the Unknown adds dedicated storylines for Kliff, Damiane and Oongka, new romance options, housing and facility management systems, and underwater treasure exploration.
  • Pre-orders and a preload are live across PC and consoles, pre-orders include the Charter’s Light Diving Set, and the updated game requires a large install (reported around 135GB) that may affect players' ability to play at launch.
