• The banner was placed around 5:22 p.m. Monday outside the Hospital General de Mexicali emergency area on Calzada Independencia in Barrio Álamo.
• Hospital administrative staff removed and secured the banner before officers arrived, and the incident was not reported to the emergency line.
• Video reviewed by authorities shows a group arriving as some recorded and others attached the banner to the fence.
• A security guard who challenged the group was told “tú no te metas,” according to the municipal police chief, and no arrests have been reported.
• The Fiscalía General del Estado assumed the investigation with support from FESC and AEI, and preliminary reports say the message apparently asked a criminal leader to help supply medical items; a similar banner was found days earlier near Río Nuevo.
