Cricketer Imran Patel Dies of Cardiac Arrest During League Match in Pune

Imran Patel, a 35-year-old cricketer from Aurangabad, collapsed on the field at Garware Stadium during a league match on Thursday and was later pronounced dead from cardiac arrest.
Patel, who was opening the innings, reported chest and arm pain and was permitted to leave the field before collapsing at the boundary line.
The incident, which was live-streamed, showed teammates and officials rushing Patel to a private hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Patel was reportedly in good physical health with no known medical conditions, leaving colleagues and the local cricket community in shock.
The tragedy follows a similar incident in September when another cricketer, Habib Shaikh, died of a heart attack during a match in the same region.
