CRDA Sanctions Gold Cluster and Funding Boost to Propel Amaravati Projects

Overview

  • The CRDA approved a 78-acre Gold Cluster and Gems & Jewellery Park at Atmakur, projecting ₹5,000 crore in investment and about 20,000 direct jobs.
  • A Special Purpose Vehicle was established to oversee flagship works including the greenfield airport, riverfront development, inner ring road, sports city and ropeway.
  • The authority earmarked ₹904 crore for infrastructure upgrades in 29 land-pooled villages and cleared ₹411 crore for a sewage treatment plant plus ₹376.6 crore for a water distribution centre.
  • Land Pooling Scheme reforms remove “assignee” from ownership certificates and allot 100 acres each to VIT and SRM universities for campus expansion.
  • Delivery targets mandate handing over 4,000 homes by March 31, 2026, completing major highways in 3½ years and finalising all layout works in 2½ years.
