'Crazy Rich Asians' TV Series in Development at Max with Original Creators

Adele Lim, Jon M. Chu, and Kevin Kwan reunite for a one-hour drama adaptation of the bestselling book series.

Warner Bros. Television is developing a 'Crazy Rich Asians' TV series for Max, based on Kevin Kwan's bestselling novels.
Adele Lim, co-writer of the 2018 film, will serve as showrunner and executive producer through her production company, 100 Tigers.
Jon M. Chu, who directed the original movie, and Kevin Kwan, the author of the book series, will also executive produce the project.
The series is in its early stages, with no confirmation yet on whether the original cast, including Constance Wu and Henry Golding, will return.
The project does not replace the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 film, which is still in development alongside this series.
