Crazy Bear Hotels Collapse Into Administration, Bookings Cancelled
Administrators say customers must seek refunds from a ring-fenced account, card issuers or the administration process.
Overview
- BDO LLP partners Kiri Holland and Danny Dartnaill were appointed joint administrators on Tuesday, October 27, and the two operating companies (CB Opportunities 3 Ltd and CB Opportunities 4 Ltd) have ceased trading.
- All event, room, spa and restaurant bookings have been cancelled and gift vouchers issued directly or through third parties are no longer valid.
- The joint administrators will contact affected customers to return deposits held in a ring-fenced account where possible and advise others to pursue chargebacks with card providers or submit unsecured creditor claims in the administration.
- Staff at the Stadhampton site were reportedly told they had lost their jobs on the day of the administration, highlighting immediate local job losses just weeks before the holiday season.
- The collapse follows earlier 2025 financial trouble and a management buyout, and administrators will now manage the companies’ assets to realise value for creditors while customers and employees wait for outcomes.
