- Craig Lowndes has signed a confirmed two-year deal to move the Supercheap Auto wildcard program from Triple Eight to GM-backed Team 18 for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

- Chevrolet Racing general manager Chris Payne affirmed Team 18’s role as GM’s official Supercars homologation partner and host of the revamped wildcard entry.
- Team 18 owner Charlie Schwerkolt said the squad has compiled a shortlist of rising talents, including Carrera Cup standout Harri Jones, to pair with Lowndes.
