Overview

  • The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of approximately 103,000 kitchen faucets sold on Amazon after testing revealed they can leach dangerous lead levels into drinking water.
  • Three models from Vfauosit, Kicimpro and Basdehen, manufactured in China and retailed by Amazon vendors Whisper08, Kicimpro and Chenfeng Store between January 2024 and May 2025 are affected.
  • No injuries have been reported, but the CPSC warns that lead ingestion can impair neurological development, lower IQ and cause attention-related behavioral problems in infants and young children.
  • Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled faucets, dispose of them safely and submit a photograph of disposal to qualify for a full refund through Amazon or the original vendor.
  • Amazon and the vendors are directly notifying customers and recommend running water for 15 seconds before use until a replacement faucet is installed.
