CPSC Recalls 9,400 Crayola Pip-Cube Sets Over Magnet Ingestion Hazard

Regulators say magnets can detach in roughly 9,400 CreateOn-imported sets, creating a dangerous ingestion risk for children.

Overview

  • The recall covers Bold and Glitter color kits in 24- or 27-piece configurations sold from May through July 2025 at Michael’s and on Amazon.
  • The CPSC warns loose internal magnets can be swallowed and attract inside the digestive tract, causing perforations, blockages, blood poisoning or death.
  • CreateOn, based in Wheeling, Illinois, imported the China-made toys and reported three related incidents with no injuries to date.
  • Consumers are instructed to stop use immediately, remove the product from children, and contact CreateOn for a replacement with a pre-paid return label.
  • The recall notice provides specific model and UPC numbers on the packaging to help identify affected sets.
