CPSC Orders Recalls of 12-Drawer Dressers Sold on Amazon and Walmart for Tip-Over Hazard

The action follows findings that the units violate the STURDY Act’s mandatory stability standard meant to prevent child tip-over deaths.

Overview

  • WLIVE Fabric is recalling about 76,500 12-drawer dressers sold on Amazon from September 2023 through August 2025 for roughly $83 after one reported tip-over and no injuries.
  • A separate recall covers roughly 700 AOWOS 12-drawer dressers sold on Walmart.com in the same period, with no reported incidents or injuries, according to the CPSC.
  • Owners are instructed to stop using units that are not wall-anchored, keep them out of children’s reach, and follow company directions to dispose of the products for a full refund.
  • Refunds require photo proof of disposal submitted to [email protected] for WLIVE or AOWOSRecall@outlook.com for AOWOS, with recall hotlines listed by both companies.
  • The WLIVE units feature a metal frame, wooden top, 12 fabric drawers, measure about 39 x 12 x 48 inches, weigh 35 pounds, and carry packaging code ASNG092, while AOWOS models weigh about 42 pounds and include listed model numbers such as 12DRW01 and 12DRW02.
