Cowboys Rule Out CeeDee Lamb as Injuries Reshape Offensive Line for Week 5 at Jets

Backup linemen now carry a larger workload, testing the offense’s depth.

Overview

  • CeeDee Lamb will miss a second straight game with a high-ankle sprain, though coach Brian Schottenheimer said his return window is narrowing.
  • Dallas will be without at least three starting offensive linemen: LT Tyler Guyton (concussion), C Cooper Beebe (IR, foot) and RG Tyler Booker (high ankle), with LG Tyler Smith listed as questionable after not practicing.
  • Nate Thomas is set for his first career start at left tackle and Brock Hoffman will start at center, with T.J. Bass, Hakeem Adeniji or Trevor Keegan among options if Smith cannot go.
  • WR/returner KaVontae Turpin and S Malik Hooker were also ruled out; RB Miles Sanders is questionable, and rookie Jaydon Blue is likely to be active to handle returns and get his first carries.
  • Despite the absences, the Cowboys enter Week 5 with one of the league’s top offenses by yardage, and cornerbacks DaRon Bland and Trevon Diggs carry no injury designation.
