Overview

  • Hannah Mai, 37, sought help after gaining 10 stone in two and a half years and was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire in October 2020
  • She underwent brain surgery to remove a pituitary tumour in February 2021 and remained on steroid medication until April 2023
  • Following a celiac disease diagnosis, Mai switched to a strict low-carb, high-protein diet free of sugar, dairy and gluten to support her recovery
  • Mai committed to daily pilates and natural methods, shedding weight from 20 stone 5lbs to 10 stone 4lbs without using weight-loss injections like Ozempic
  • Now at her prediagnosis size, she is raising money for The Pituitary Foundation to aid others affected by pituitary disorders
