Court Orders Stop to Balance of Nature Supplement Sales Over False Health Claims

Manufacturers Evig LLC and Premium Production LLC must prove compliance with FDA regulations before resuming operations

Balance of Nature, a dietary supplement sold on Amazon and Walmart, has been ordered to stop production and sales due to false claims of treating diseases like cancer, heart disease, asthma and COVID-19.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Utah issued an injunction against the manufacturers and distributors, Evig LLC and Premium Production LLC, and their CEOs, Douglas Lex Howard and Ryan Petersen.
The FDA had previously warned the companies about violations of manufacturing requirements and misleading claims, but the companies continued to violate regulations.
The companies must now hire experts to show compliance with FDA regulations before they can resume operations.
Balance of Nature has previously faced legal issues, including a lawsuit by local prosecutors in California over false advertising claims, which was settled for $1 million in July.
