Overview

• Eyewitness Harpal Kaur Bedi testified she saw Jagdish Tytler emerge from a white Ambassador and urge a mob to loot and kill Sikhs at Pul Bangash Gurudwara on November 1, 1984.
• Bedi explained she withheld Tytler’s name until March 2016 because her only son faced threats over her testimony and she felt safe only after his death in 2015.
• The Central Bureau of Investigation filed a chargesheet against Tytler on May 20, 2023, and a Delhi court framed murder and related charges on September 13, 2024.
