  • The understanding records that any content already taken down will not be re‑uploaded, and it will subsist only until the trial court rules on Adani’s Order 39 Rules 1 and 2 CPC application.
  • The Union government said its September 16 communication was informational and will issue a corrigendum in light of the parties’ understanding.
  • On September 25, District Judge Sunil Chaudhary ruled that Paranjoy Guha Thakurta need not comply with the September 6 ex parte injunction, and directed the Senior Civil Judge to hear him with other defendants at 2 pm on September 26 and pass fresh orders.
  • Earlier, on September 18, another appellate court set aside the gag order against four journalists, after a September 6 order had directed takedowns within 36 hours in Adani Enterprises’ defamation suit and was circulated to intermediaries by the I&B Ministry.
