Country singer Chris Young was arrested on Monday night at a bar in Nashville, Tennessee, and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer.
Young was accused of creating a 'hazardous or physically offensive condition' during a compliance check by agents of the Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Young and his friends allegedly followed the agents to another bar, where Young is said to have physically blocked an agent's exit and struck him on the shoulder.
Young's behavior allegedly escalated the situation, leading to his arrest. His speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and watery at the time of the arrest.
Young is scheduled to appear in court on February 16, and is currently preparing to release his ninth studio album, 'Young Love & Saturday Nights', on March 22.
