Overview
- Starting June 30, U.S. Costco locations will reserve 9–10 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays and 9–9:30 a.m. on Saturdays exclusively for Executive members.
- Warehouses that already open at 9 a.m. will dedicate that early hour to Executive members, with regular members admitted from 10 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays and 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
- All U.S. warehouses will extend Saturday hours by one hour, remaining open until 7 p.m. for all membership tiers.
- Executive members pay $130 annually and represent less than half of Costco’s 79.6 million memberships but account for about 73% of the company’s sales.
- The change aligns Costco’s perks with rival Sam’s Club and follows membership price increases implemented last September.
