Overview
- Starting June 30, executive members can shop from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays at participating U.S. warehouses.
- All U.S. Costco locations will now close at 7 p.m. on Saturdays, extending shopping by one hour for all members.
- Executive members pay $130 annually for the tier—up from $120 after last year’s price increase—and account for 73% of Costco’s sales despite making up less than half of its 79.6 million memberships.
- The benefit aligns Costco with Sam’s Club, which has long offered similar premium-tier early-access hours to its higher-paying customers.
- Costco clarified that regular Gold Star members may begin shopping at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday and Sunday and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
