Costco Recalls Smoked Salmon Due to Listeria Risk

The recall affects Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon sold earlier this month after potential contamination was identified by the supplier.

The recall was initiated by Acme Smoked Fish Corporation, Costco's smoked salmon supplier, after tests detected listeria monocytogenes.
Consumers are advised to return the affected salmon, which is packaged in twin 12-ounce units with lot number 8512801270 and a best-by date of November 13, 2024.
Potentially contaminated salmon was distributed to Costco locations, including those in Florida, between October 9 and October 13.
Listeria poses serious health risks, particularly to young children, seniors, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
No illnesses have been reported, and customers are encouraged to seek refunds or safely dispose of the product to avoid contamination.
