Costco Recalls Nearly 1 Million Kirkland Prosecco Bottles Over Shattering Hazard

The CPSC-listed action covers 941,400 bottles sold in 12 states during April–August 2025.

  • The distributor and CPSC received 10 reports of bottles breaking or shattering, including one reported laceration injury.

  • The Italian-made prosecco sold for about $8, was available in IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, SD, and WI, and the recall (No. 26-068) follows a September Costco safety notice.
